Birthday Time!

I turn 24 on Thursday. In fact, I will be at an island and away from any means of communication. If family wants to call do it tonight or tomorrow morning, otherwise I'll be out.

Dave, Joel and I are cruising out there early to check out the area, so I'll leave tomorrow at 6:30pm. I'm very excited to get out of the city and I love beach camping, especially on an island in the Yellow Sea!!

I'll be writing about it when I return on Saturday...

OK, thanks for clarification about the age, but isn't that 25 in Korea? Bon voyage, George, et bon anniversaire!

Uncle John,

Depending on how old you are according to the actual year will predict whether you add one, two or even three years. Due to the 60 year cycle of the lunar calendar, each person will gain one year for each cycle. So, this current cycle started in 1984. I add two years -one for the calendar and one for starting at years rather than months. Greg would only add one year until 2044, at which time he would become one year older. The people born in the early 1920's and before would add three years to their age.

Does this help?

Yes, it does help George, but who wants to be any older than they are? Wait till you hit 40 or so or the robust age group of your Mom and me!
