ROK Drop Thread

I have been reading the GI blog, ROK Korea for almost two years now. I disagree with the guy most of the time, but he's a good guy. They have had a few threads going these days and there is one commentor that is a perfect example of the current GOP strategy. He/She has taken every Dem campaign position and turned them into a GOP talking point ONLY because McCain selected Palin based on the sexist assumption that women would vote for her based on gender.

He/She has gotten very nasty in recent days, but I wonder if people like this are really representative of the current state of the GOP.

Here are some of his hits. I am "The Clam".

I looked up the word “douche” the clam.

To douche is to introduce a “stream of water into the body for medical or hygienic reasons”

A douche, is medicine to an “intestinal bacteria in the vagina”. That is what a douche is inteneded to cure, a bacteria like you.

Back to topic-With McCain on top of the polls, he is looking like a real “comeback kid”. Its good to see the good guys win.

So, here am I. A member of the party who has been a champion of civil and human rights; the party who tried in '84 to elect a woman; the party who fights for women's rights at work and behind closed doors; the party that has always supported women and the party who boasts a dramatically higher number of female elected officials than it's counterpart. And I am being called a sexist and a racist.

The GOP has lost their mind. Any thoughts?
